How it all started
2020 - 2022: Blurred Lines
This project started in 2020 with a digital residency at the Dutch Dance Days. Redo and Dominique created a new performance with director Peter Leung and videomaker Gijs Granaat. The title is called ‘Blurred Lines’ and is inspired by the fact that both Redo and Dominique felt that they sometimes were pushed into boxes as breakdancers and percussionists. In this digital performance, they blur those lines and look for their boundaries as an artist.
2022-2024: Part I
In 2022 the team created A New Dawn Part I. A version with four dancers and two multi-instrumentalists with live AV.
2025: Part II
Now, in 2025 Redo, DOMNIQ and Peter Leung created A New Dawn Part II: This experience reflects on the beauty of life’s struggles and triumphs, celebrating the strength in our differences and shared connections. With silence, stillness, and raw emotion, A New Dawn invites you to pause, reflect, and embrace the endless possibilities of a new beginning.

A NEW DAWN
Part I
The concept
2021-2023
We wondered during the lockdown: Why do we do what we do today? We find ourselves every day in new situations, influenced by being alone or having other people around us, but also by outside factors like, for example, the weather, the news and the energies around us. It’s how we deal with these situations that shape our daily lives. Our perspective plays a big part in how we choose to react to these moments. Sometimes a different perspective can lead to a different outcome, maybe a playful one instead of a negative one.
In A New Dawn, we work with this concept by creating an environment for musicians, dancers, visuals and the audience. Each performance is different with a new location, new elements and guests joining us.
